Prototype Game
This project was done in 2 days as an entry for the GMTK Game Jam 2023. We didn't manage to upload the project within the time limit, but we still think the game turned out great so we wanted to share it.
The theme for this game jam was: Roles Reversed. We struggled with coming up with an idea for the game, (-5h) but decided to go with a concept where you the player take the role of a developer and design the path for a player, taken over by AI.
We focused on the game being physics driven but obviously due to it being developed under 2 days it doesn't function all that great, and we don't have ragdoll physics on the player character, I know... 😢
It was a really fun time and we have made a concept for a game that can be made into a fully commercial title, which could be more of a sandbox/puzzle game in it's full glory.

There is always next time! Really cool concept on a physics builder. I do love the immediate nav mesh response when putting objects along the path. Hope the objects selected has more freedom of movement that will be fantastic. It is a bit unfortunate that the team weren't able to submit on time, but it is a really nice game to build more upon. Great work!
I do also made a ragdoll game if the team want to try out: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2023/rate/2157827
As a comedic and a bit chaotic physics based builder, I feel like this has a ton of potential! I had a lot of fun just swinging and throwing around the stuff, and with the really nice presentation it was just a great time! The game has so much personality already! The difficulty in actually placing stuff together did start going to the brim of annoyance though, so if continued there would probably need some sort of stabilizing the chaos a little bit. But for now I thought it was great fun, good job! :D
If you feel like playing another game here's mine heh :)

I like the idea, well done guys. It was a bit of a pain trying to construct things but you did really well.
It's a shame your team couldn't submit :( But there is always next time! And you could evolve the game you made because we like the concept of being the creator of your path! Found it a bit hard to look around and you know move the physics at the same time. But! Nevertheless the concept is there, the base mechanics are great plus the art style goes hand in hand with the theme.
I really like the concept and throwing around object is really fun. I just think that you can improve the controlls : for example pressing space/ctrl to go up and down and maybe use the arrows to control easyer the object while holding them...
But great idea and really nice game though!
Really creative mechanic. It was wierd to look around only when holding the mouse button, and it was sometimes hard to cooperate with the physics. But overall nice game.

Thanks for sharing this game even though it didn't make it to the Jam.
The game is really fun and technically impressive for a 48h game (especially the path detection). The hidden button was a funny addition (I only found it after trying to make a very unsuccessful bridge in level 1 😅).
Here is our game if you want to check it out 😊 : https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2023/rate/2157445
Fun to play around with. Technically i think its pretty impressive that it can check if youve placed a ramp or bridge somewhere.
Shame you didn't get to submit in time
Love the aesthetic and getting to throw things around!
